Over the past few weeks, Susanne Kudielka and Kaspar Wimberley examined the different power relations in a residential building in Bahnhofgürtel, discovering exemplary instances of the day-to-day difficulties of living together: the focal point is a locked shared balcony directly adjoining the festival centre.
They are now presenting the results of their research in a discussion on 11 October. Afterwards there will be a neighbourhood party for residents of the house and festival visitors – long-time and short-time neighbours will celebrate together around a bronze replica of the balcony adorning one wall of the festival centre as a “communal ash-tray”.
